Some of the French WWII zinc coins are just a horrendous mess. I'm wondering if this is from rusty dies as well? On this one the reverse is pretty bad, but I've seen worse:
Here's mine, - the most coverage on a Morgan I've seen, rust pits in the hair and just about everywhere.... The reverse is pitted as well, I think it was in the vam 5 series but it's been quite some time since I attributed it
Quite a bit of rustiness on this one. I'm guessing they tried to polish the dies up a bit and remove that rust, and that's why its Prooflike. NGC 65PL
