I'm with Tommy. Not sure, maybe some type of plating issue. Whatever it is, I don't believe it's significant. These types of anomalies on these cents seem very common. However, I am very impressed with your pictures! Very detailed!! What did you take them with?
I got a small 'USB Digital Microscope' from Amazon for about $50. With a small angled piece of wood under the coin, you can get the side shots.
That's what I need before I post any more photos with mine...a high articulated stand. Nice equipment.
Just don't look at the mess on my desk. My wife is always after me to clean it up, but I know exactly where all my coins are!
