What are you talking about? Again, it makes no sense. What is CAC paying for? If the CAC assessment is that an ANACS MS65 1895-s is really an MS66 or better, they'll give it a gold bean. If they think it's a high end MS65, they give it a green bean. If they think it's lower, no bean. Again, what are you talking about when you keep insisting that CAC is paying PCGS prices for other companies? The coin, regardless of the slab its in, must meet CAC standards for the bean. They're not going to apply lower standards to non-PCGS/NGC coins, so I don't see the relevance of what you keep insisting.
CAC buys and sells the coins that they have stickered. That was one of the big things that helped them get accepted by the market, they stood by their work with money. It is no secret that the market often times has a very wide spread from PGCS/NGC coins to the other grading company coins especially with the types of coins CAC usually does. If CAC were to do coins from the other services they would either have to overpay for the other services, lower their bids for PCGS/NGC coins, or have two different bids depending on the grading service. Even though their sticker would close the price gap I do not believe it would eliminate it.
If the CAC sticker wasn't enough to eliminate the price gap, I would feel its value isn't as great as people originally perceived. Personally, if CAC is as important/accurate as the market insists, then a CAC sticker *should* be enough to close the gap, less a very marginal amount for getting the coin regraded by PCGS/NGC. I still think, if the market perception of non-PCGS/NGC holders having lower standards is true, then CAC would, by default, sticker non-PCGS/NGC plastic a lower amount of time, on par with the market perception. Again, I'm not expecting CAC to sticker ANACS coins at the same rate as PCGS/NGC. I'm expecting them to sticker them at MUCH LOWER rates. This would be a product of, not merely higher standards for CAC than ANACS, but also due to lower overall submission rates of non-PCGS/NGC plastic.
Does anyone know how cac buys toners? For example, If it's a common date 63 monster toned Morgan will they pay $50 or $2k
