Determining a VAM from bad photos...

No, there isn't. VAMworld is the only place where even a significant percentage of information is gathered in one place, and in many cases (especially "run of the mill" varieties) there is insufficient information for accurate attribution. VAMming is an effort which would be far better served by a more organized, directed and methodical approach.

Yup. VW and the VAM bible are about as good as it gets. Another should-have is the top-100 book by Jeff Oxman & Mike Fey. They made it small as a spiral pocket book to take to shows as a reference until you're good enough to not need it.
