For older coins such as Barber quarters, Walking Liberty Half dollars, etc. which method would you prefer for long term storage at home. Currently my Morgan, Peace and Silver Eagles are all in slabs.

I have some coins is 2x2 cardboard flips and in tubes. Looking to get the collection organized.

    Thanks.

I presonaly love the look of filled danscos. I have very few slabed coins. Just personal preference though. There great if you have full sets, or you can buy blank pages and make your own sets. Slabs take up less room though.

    I prefer Dansco albums.
Another option is the old Library of Coins albums.
Also the green Littleton 3 ring albums are nice.
Lastly the Whitman classics show both sides of your coins.

Well, if you like Dansco, I made an "airtite album" out of Dansco products:

I tend to have my rarer coins slabbed by TPGs to protect and certify them. On the other hand I have complete Liberty Walking Half, Peace Dollar, Jefferson Nickel, Presidential Dollar, Sacagawea, Kennedy Half, Franklin Half, and others in Dansco Albums. Duplicates are in plastic 2x2s. I been collecting for over 50 years.

I have a couple Dansco albums I'm currently working on, although the bulk of my stuff is in slabs. I like the feel of a filled album and the process of filling it, and for relatively inexpensive coins, that's the way to go. Duplicates can then go in 2x2s, as can inexpensive coins for which there's no decent album. I've seen the CAPS albums, and they are pretty neat, but very large. I'm convinced there is no perfect way to store a collection.

I have very few TPG coins, in fact, outside of my Silver Eagles, I don't believe I have any other slabbed coins. I to prefer the Dansco style albums but will gladly by the Littleton albums for a cheaper price. I rather save myself a few bucks instead of paying for it with the word 'Dansco' on it.

I know that everyone has his or her own preference...but for ME...I love placing Dansco-filled albums in my library and pulling them down and going through them knowing that they were filled one by one until completion. My graded stuff is great too...but just thinking about opening those Dansco books gives me a feeling of completeness and wholeness that I can not explain...I know there are those that know exactly what I am trying to say. Thanks.
