Hi - here is my 1968 Lincoln penny. I have a number of these, and they just glow with a red orange fire. That being said, I don't think they are worth more than 2 cents unless you get up into the grades like MS66+. I don't know how to tell if this one is in that range of MS66+......any thoughts? Many thanks!
Nice looking one! I can’t tell but it looks like it may be a small lamination in the field in front of Lincoln’s nose. Maybe with a buck at best, slightly more if that is a lamination.
Something is very bizzare about the reverse. Either the photo is really poor, or those steps are worn completely flat. There is zero appearance of any steps whatsoever. And the buttresses flanking the steps are flattened too. There is no fluting on the columns. Appear flat. Yet the detail on the rest of the coin shows nicely. Anybody else see these oddities?
The photo is out of focus. While my photography is better than it was a couple of weeks ago, I am still learning how to get the photos "just right." Clearly, I have some way to go. Many thanks for the direction though, I thought I would post it as the 10 or 15 of these 1968 pennies that I have all have a fiery glow.
