you will think someone stole someone's collection sometimes. some people are desperate sometimes. or a family just rolling up dimes because they are short from paying bills.

 

Yeah - my heart beats a little faster untill I find that they are 100% nickle Canadian coins - although I keep them for the nickle!!

 

I do not watch Silver Searchers videos anymore. they are lame. I only watch the ones that do it live.

some of the Canadian dimes are 80% silver. the dates 1937-1967 are 80% silver. 1968 is 50% silver. 1969-2000 are nickel

 

dates 1901-1919 are .925 silver

 

Yes - but rarely find them nowadays in the US - I used to go fishing in Canada when I was just a little kid and grabbed so many Canadian coins which the quarter and the dimes are 80% - I still have them saved in my 3 ring binder - I just throw the 100% nickle coins in a bag as maybe one of these days nickle will become a precious metal!! LOL - I know, not likely

 

surprisingly I had good luck for a while. sure I would get skunked every now and then, but then I would find more.

 

I do collect the Canadian Silver dollars - Also 80% - thought I had more pics but these are the only ones I could locate in my folders!!

 

I'll post my past coin searches tomorrow also. dimes and cents.

 

right now I am also collecting toned 50 cent pieces from 1937-1967 and toned caribou quarters from 1937-1967.

 

bought this off Ebay today 1937 $16.00 + $3.00 shipping. sellers pics...

I like the canoe dollars. someday I'd like some toned ones of those.

here's my PCGS 1963 PL64 I bought off Ebay 3-4 weeks ago...





I spent $80.00 it. I had to have it. I know I over paid for it by $30+ , but I love the toning on it. where it is light yellow it's like a mirror there. even prettier in the hand.

 

Dimes are a paradox... I normally buy about $50 a time from my bank... if I have good results from them, I will buy more. Last month, I had a 9 day period where I found 5 via CRH including a 1943-S Mercury, and two via my lucky Coinstar timing.

 

$80 in dimes. searched. skunked. this will not deter me.

 

My girl Liz at my bank got a Morgan turned in for face. She's going to show me it on Thursday.
