How much would you pay for these nine dimes. I know the melt is like $8 something, but if these were in an auction what would be your max price? All are circulated. This group includes the following: 1951D, two 1951S, 1952D, 1953S, three 1954D and 1955D.

Silver melt now on those 9 dimes is $8.37 I think $5.00 would be a fair price if you think you just have to have them. If they are for your collection save your money and go with AU or ms-60. A dealer is not going to give you $8.37 for melt he will give you in my opinion $5.00 to $6.00 for them if that.

alright thanks, i will put them in my collection if i win the auction. I'm not really into getting extremely 'good' coins, as long as i can see th date and they look good. I'm just a beginner collector and am trying to fill holes in my albums, btw I definitely think i over bid at 6.50 :) ohh well

    Ryan.
You have over 50 post here at cointalk so you should be able to go to the open forum and post what coins you are looking for. There are many of us here that have extra coins and are always glad to share are extras with someone just starting out good luck.

    Ryan:
Consider buying nicer (possibly) uncirculated coins for your collection.
In a few years you will look back at them and be glad that you did.

Unless it has been brillo'd to death it is well worth that price.
    Congrats.
    And enjoy.

I know everyone says "always but uncirculated coins!!!!". But there is also something to be said about large numbers of coins. I personally collect a wide array of series on a low budget, and so can't always afford nice coins. (my liberty nickels are absolute key-rap, but i'm almost done!)

    Just offering a different opinion.

Same with me. I'm 17, In school with a good paying job, but don't really feel like blowing my money on coins when i want a better one. Sure, later on i might say well i could have gotten a better one than that, but it's all in what I enjoy collecting.
