I have been slowly chipping away on my 3rd century set and have just added this Herennius Etruscus billion antoninianus. I find the doubling on the obverse to be interesting and I am digging the Mercury reverse. Although partially silvered coins can lack eye appeal, I find the transitioned silvering on this one to be attractive along with the fairly strong portrait. It does show more silvering and less billion in hand but under the bright lights the granular porosity and underlying base metal shows through as so often the case with these old ants do. Feel free to share your Herennius Etruscus coins Herennius Etruscus, As Caesar, Billion Antoninianus. Nice capture. Great looking coin. I really like Mercury on the reverse! I do not focus on Imperial period of Roman history, however, I get reasonable budget examples to fill the Portrait slots. I have a couple by Herenius Etruscus... RI Herennius Etruscus 251 CE AR Ant Prince Stdng Obv-Rev.jpg RI Herennius Etruscus 251 CE AR Ant Apollo seated Obv-Rev.jpg I even have his Mother...
