The N appears to be WMDO-001 Doubled Master Die as Spark says. If so, 60-70% of all 1972 cents have it. https://doubleddie.com/823839.html
This is probably the millionth time I'm going to mention the following.. The correct Numismatic terminology is Doubled die, not double die.
