I was just looking through some Idaho quarters I got in a half roll I bought from a friend's business, and was wondering if anyone else had noticed a lot of rippling on the reverse on the upper fields, mainly around the "Idaho" and above the top of the bird's head? I have several that are so bad that it distorts the letters and fills the "A" in Idaho. Is this a normal feature on this coin, or has the metal not filled properly when being struck? I'll try to post a pic if I can in a few days when I return from work.

Sounds like heavy flowlining from badly worn dies.

I tried to get some pics, but my camera isn't made for such close-ups. I'll keep trying.
