1982 Lincoln Penny DDR?

the one you were thinking about is the 1982 DDR-001 which is on the small date zinc. I was the discoverer of the coin . there are only three known to exist to date. If you coin does not match my avatar then it is not it.

Thank you guys both for the info, it is greatly appreciated. I did look up the DDR-001 that you found ziggy something like 25 years after it was minted, I believe. That's pretty crazy. But, anyways, I appreciate your guys' feed back and will be continuing my search. One other question that I would like to ask that isn't probably super important, because I'm sure that everybody has there own technique for going through coins, but, I've been separating out all the coins that I could find that have a known dd, and ones that don't, and I've primarily been going through the ones that do. I read somewhere that certain years don't have DD's at all, because something to do with the minting process, if either one of you or anyone else that has been doing this awhile care to talk about this topic, I was wondering if that's the right way to do this, or if there is a better way of going about it? I haven't been separating just dd coins, but also, like the 92 and 99 wide and close am possibilities I have been separating out as well.

 

I personally examine every coin, some a little better than others. There are still new errors to find as I'm sure Ziggy9 can attest to and it helps you get to know the coins better. If you are roll searching I suggest you do the same unless you are planning to specialize in one particular type of coin or error. You just need to find a system that works best for you and your situation.

 

Touché on that point, just because it hasn't already been found, doesn't mean it's not out there, I really wish I had a better way to take pictures right now, because I'm(at least in my mind) absolutely sure I've found like 3-4 doubled dies, and at least one of them is absolutely not found yet, but, with how new I am to this and with the fact that I haven't been able to get good feedback due to not being able to provide quality pictures.(Thanks a lot iPhone, hahaha) I haven't been able to get much verification on them, but, I will soon, so, it will be kinda nice to have a few to show and get feedback on. I just found a pretty clean 1995-d penny that I'm like 95% sure has some doubling, but, I can see it in the R and S in TRUST really well, and I can see it in LIBERTY too, along with slightly in the rest of trust, but the in God we part doesn't show it really, and it's supposed to be rotated somewhere around the date which means, I believe that In God should have the best doubling, confused by that.
