I have bought some rolls on ebay which so called unsearch rolls and so what you pay for them are more than what you find in them rolls. So Yes to me that there are NO real unsearch rolls unless you are so lucky to find them away from ebay.

 

maybe more like 5 or so years ago I was able to find rolls of silver from the bank and they were dated back to 1940 walkers. There were at lease 6 to 7 rolls of silver. Now it is very hard to find rolls of half even trying to find silver.

 

Actually, these weren't out of full boxes...

The first one came out of a batch of 18 MWR which only produced 4 other pre-60s, none of which were War Nickels...

The second one came out of a batch of 40 MWR which produced 18 other pre-60s, but no other War Nickels...

In other words, it appears these enders were apparently just random luck... In over 7 months of looking through approximately 125K coins, I had found over 60 War Nickels, but never an ender... the law of averages catching up, I think!

 

Nothing quite better than seeing that when you open a box!

 

Nice ender... too bad the machine scraped it a little.

It was 1940, one of five Mercs in the roll! I'd have loved a 16D, but hey, beggars can't be choosers

Found this awhile back. It's a s 1976 40% half dollar.

 

The pic with the nickel rolls has a really beat up 1987 proof nickel on the end.
