In my change today and my first 2016 North Dakota quarter , I still haven't found a "W" mint marked quarter yet.
Thanks, I had never seen that before. All I could think of was West Point. Apparently it was short-lived: NGC to Discontinue W Designation https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/73/
I'm sure it's a beautiful quarter but please turn down the lighting hence the glare. Thanks. Try again?
Thank goodness for lay-a-ways. I just put these two coins away and I will get them in September. Seated Liberty, NGC Prf-64. 1913-S Var II, NGC AU-55.
Part of my "return to childhood" raw Indian Cent set. This is an 1886 Type II Indian Cent. In 1886, Charles Barber redid the Indian Cent obverse. The last feather in the headdress with moved from between the "I and C" in "AMERICA" to between the "A and C." These coins were carelessly made. This piece looks better in person. I'm trying to learn how to use a new camera. Believe it or not, I could not find an 1886 cent that was better than VG when I was a high school kid. They just never cropped up. The 1885 was thought to be the scarcest date from the 1880s back then. Here was the best raw Walking Liberty Half Dollar find, a 1941-S. This is a fairly typical strike, but it is Mint State, which is what I wanted OUTSIDE of a slab.
