Always funny to see those spelling errors.

I do like very much the Virus one, and Martin's Moneta/Boneta make me think the master celator might have been the governor of Jerusalem in the life of Brian

I have two, less funny by far

Both of these are fantastic, Q, and not only because of the errors.

There is a fault also on a siliqua of EVGENIVS, his name was not correct on the observe legend : EVGEIN-VS. Bastien did not see the two samples I found with the same observe's die.

Shown this before but it makes me laugh every time I see it. The engraver either got drunk or had a stroke mid-legend.

Here's another that should be SOLI INV-I-CTO COMITI but is SOLI INV-I-CT COMON. I guess it's common...

Rev: SOLI INV-I-CTO COMITI, Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding globe, right hand raised.

Sadly, it is quite difficult to make-out the subtle mistake on this humble example ...

... but if you squint you can barely read EID-BAR

The ONLY way I would have a legend error is IF it JUMPED OUT at me...

"Furius" legend is a bit goofed up... spelling or something...

The legend of reverse is right, because it's a COM D N (dominus noster), not COMON.
See some of them in Nummus-bible (RIC49, mint of Roma, 1, 3, 4 officina)

    Trebonianus Gallus - Antoninianus

Obv:– IMP C C VIB TREB GALLVS P F AVG, Radiate, draped cuirassed bust right
Rev– ADVNTVS (sic) AVS(sic), Trebonianus Gallus riding on horse left, holding hand high in salute and scepter
    Minted in Antioch.
    Reference(s) – RIC 79 var (reverse legend).

Rare with these reverse legend errors. Possibly the fourth known example all from the same reverse die.

Ex Private British collection, was purchased from English dealer Peter Mimms in 1976

Maybe no spelling mistake, but a lack of room to write the legend of the observe.
    AG in place of AVG.

    Commentaires :
Une erreur du graveur sur la titulature, peut-être due au manque de place sur cette légende particulièrement longue : il manque le V de AVG.

Poids observé de l'exemplaire du British Museum (CGR139225) : 1.27 gr
