Thanks for stirring up old memories! When I was about 11 years old or so I was on a family vacation in Upper Michigan somewhere. We stopped at this pancake house for breakfast. On the menu was "Silver Dollar Pancakes" you could get six or twelve. I ordered them and my dad asked the waiter how big they were and he made an estimate using his hands. They looked about 2 inches in diameter so Dad said I could have 12 if I wanted. When they brought them out they were at least twice that size. Dad said you wanted 12 your eating all 12. I polished off nine and my brother ate the rest.
