Was hoping another couple sets of eyes could help me determine if I have either an O-106 or an O-144 1827 Capped Busty. The coin was advertised (as you may remember) in XF condition and upon checking it out in person it could slide as an VF-35/XF-40 on a good day. Thanks for taking a look. Ben
:mouth: I do not see this as an XF 40...as to the versions...:rolling: I do not have the book(s) to check and give an opinion.
I agree with the grade. I am looking at this and the Obv looks like 0-106 but I am not sold on the reverse. Look at 0-127 Ben.
Ben: Nice pick up. IMHO: O-106, R-2 (sorry about that). The diagnostic "several lines extend into the crossbars" appear to be there. Also, the 106 diagnostic (for the obverse) Mouth open -- appears dead on. Still nice
Jim, unfortunately the center stripe of bar five doesn't go to the 4th crossbar (CB), it's the third stripe which goes to the 3rd CB and there is also tiny center-dot between CBs 4 and 5. Also, there are several stripes which go to at least the 1st and 2nd CBs as well. I'm thinking O-106 but not entirely sold on that attribution. I really appreciate you taking a look too. Ben
