    Hello All,

I have just acquired a 1909 Indian Cent with a first time seen DDO 1909/1909. Has anyone ever seen this before?
I have been to several coin shops in my area and they have all said the same thing..."this is an unseen, unheard of DDO". "You may have a couple thousand dollar coin here to the right collector".
Anyone have feedback at all on this one?

I have my few usual searches I do for cherry picking, came across one the other day from none other then Great Southern Coin, Couldn't believe me eyes when I saw it,considering they don't have the zoom feature enabled for desktops,i was able to zoom in on my phone and was able to see that this was a 1873 DDO S2 variety. The coin was AU details as most coins from GSC are not problem free coins, anyway the coin ended at 255$,i didn't even throw a bid in as I didn't want to waste my $,time and wait for grading etc to only get it back and sell it for a couple $ more.

    Anyway coin in question.

Rick Snow lists one with minor doubling on the date. Is there doubling anywhere else on the obverse? If you can take some good images you might start a new thread. You will get more and better answers that way. Welcome to CT.

Yes, I do. In fact, I have no problem buying problem coins for the right price. Today I got a damaged 1867-S half dime for $30. The details are great, in fact there is luster. The only problem is the damage. A similar coin would likely cost $80+ on Ebay.
