Bought a few new sovereigns and a 1oz Canadian Maple Leaf this week. I just got random dates and was happy to not get any duplicate dates. I am addicted to these sovereigns. I have the 1 gold sovereign from Australia 1918-S... KM#29 Sovereign, 1918-S, Sydney mint, .917 gold, mintage-3,716,000 , weight- 7.99 g. or 0.2355 oz. paid $460 very happy with it.
Can't see any mint mark on the sovereigns so, by default, they should be London mint i.e. GB. The 1 oz. is obviously Canadian.
The 1889 is an "S" and the 91 also looks like an "S". Hard to tell without my loupe. It's packed away right now The 76 and 98 don't have MMs.
