    Hey everyone,

I bought this Pan-Pac awhile back and I still can't get over how much I enjoy looking at it. I figured since there seem to be a few GTG popping up I may as well start one! I have never posted one but figured I would get other opinions and see if it might warrant an upgrade. If you do know the grade since I picked it up on Ebay at the beginning of summer please keep it private or don't post it. Beings I am not computer savvy I just clicked "retouch" the certification number till it became unreadable haha.
    Good luck everyone!

I just can't seem to read the image. It looks circulated to me, but at the same time not. I wan't to say AU??. I could be terribly wrong, but I just don't see the luster I would expect. It's a really tough coin for my to guess at. I keep changing my mind on it. LOL

It's a tough one....somewhere between AU58 and MS66+.......sorry, this is a coin to hold in hands when it comes to grading.

Hard to grade since you can't evaluate the luster. However that toning is typical of these being stored in their original velvet lined boxes, so I will guess that it is uncirc and take a WAG at 64. Grade really doesn't matter as it is such a beautiful example.

I am a terrible photographer so I opted to use the Truview. Here are some photos I took myself and focused them, nothing special just my camera phone so not high quality by any means.

I don't think you can take a bad picture of this beauty ;-)

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

I think I see some more evidence of luster in yours more than the Truview one. I'm thinking 65, but then again I also think I see some high point rub. If this was slabbed long ago, I bet it wouldn't come back the same grade now as it did then. These are the types of coins that have changed in market value quite a bit. Color now adds more than it did, and some "cabinet friction" is tolerated within MS now.

This coin is the poster child for "we need an industry standard for moving images", like Vines or LivePictures or almost anything.

Based on the TruView, I was at MS63. Your photos seem to indicate better luster and the color is very nice, I say MS64.

MS65 - that's definitely one of the better, i.e. "prettier" examples I've seen. Do you have the complete set?

Not yet, I am looking to pick up the gold $1 and $2.50 at some point in the near future. As far as silver commems go I am working on it slowly but surely, I have all the ones I find attractive so far but now it is down to the ones I need to find with some excellent toning to that is pretty enough to join the join ranks.

I will post the grade tomorrow, I think everyone is in for a real surprise. No correct guesses so far.

That's because, in truth, all opinions are guesses based on the degree of photographic evidence presented. Especially with toned coins, high-resolution images are imperative for any informed guess as to grade.

I do not care what it grades, I'd own it with pride. Beautiful coin. :)

    Nice looking coin.
I've got one that NGC graded MS64 back in the day. If your coin is UNC, then I'd guess they gave it 65*. If it's not UNC, then I can't GTG.:)
