double struck and smooth. Can someone please post the pcgs numbers on these errors so far? I don't need a detailed breakdown, but I'm curious to how many they have graded so far. I'm in the detroit area and I did find 12 double struck and 1 smooth about 2 weeks ago. Thanks

PCGS as of today only 151 have been graded

NGC for whatever reason didn't publicize their numbers yet, however I would expect it to be around 150 also. I pulled the trigger the other day and got myself an Adam's Smoothie and just like the stock market I will add to my position only if prices go up. It will be interesting to see how many have been graded by the major grading services a month from now and I would expect much higher prices if the numbers are in the hundreds. Right now on ebay there is one guy with 0 feedback that has 4 or 5 for sale, but other than that I believe there is only 6 other ones for sale in terms of non-slabbed. Personally, I wouldn't buy a raw one from anyone with a feedback of less than a 100 and 100%.

Welcome adamssmooth and royhobbs. The only thing I can say is that the Double Edge Adams seem much more common than the Smoothies. The Adams Smoothies seem comparatively more rare compared to the Washington Smooties.

    Nice group of errors adamssmooth!

Well it looks like the slabbed 65's are going for close to $1000 now and you can probably pick up a raw one for $500. The only drawback there is you might have a cherrypicker keeping the good ones and selling off his bad ones. Furthermore, I would stay away from anyone with feedback under 100 and less than 99.9%. IF someone has strong feedback and their feedback history doesn't look like they are a coin fanatic then you may find someone who doesn't know the first step in getting coins graded and just might sell you that 66. These prices will look like a bargain in a few months in my opinion, but that is also based on just a few thousand that made it out of the mint.
