    LOL, Riding our StingRays, fighting with Croquette mallets, trash can lids for shields... (we bashed those lids up pretty bad, and had a couple wimps drop out after a couple bouts...) Or, walnut fights and/or Apple fights with trash can lids for shields... LOL, we fought hard for the Cause! :D

    I was amused one time in college when the professor had filled all four whiteboards at the front of the room, and began to work his way down the whiteboards at the side of the room. He was showing us how to derive some statistical models in quantum mechanics. He used up all of the Greek alphabet, and was forced to start using Cyrillic.

    This is algebra:

    A = B

    Multiply both sides by A:

    A x A = A x B

    A2 = AB

    Subtract B2 from each side:

    A2 – B2 = AB – B2

    Factor each side of the equation:

    (A+B) x (A-B) = B(A-B)

    Since both sides include an (A-B),

    divide both sides by (A-B)

    (A+B) x (A-B) = B(A-B)
    (A-B) ...................(A-B)

    (A+B) = B

    From the original equation, we know that A = B

    therefore, we can substitute B for A

    B + B = B

    2 B = B

    Divide both sides by B

    2B = B
    B.....B

    2 = 1

    Now that's good algebra. :D

    Tomorrow we will discuss differential equations.

    TypeCoin971793 Just a random guy on the internet

    If a=b, then a-b=0. If you divide by (a-b), then you divide by zero. Dividing by zero is invalid, so your proof is invalid.

    ;)

    I survived calculus I, II, III, discrete, and differential equations. I think that's enough for one lifetime.

    Isn't the usual custom to use the Hebrew alphabet after exhausting the Greek alphabet? What about primes/subscripts/superscripts? :p

    I currently work as a nuclear physicist, contracting for the US Navy.

    1 misfired neutron + 1 kg uranium = 1 big friken hole in the ground

    Same idea.
