Use some acetone to stabilize the surfaces. The fingerprinting appears to cover large areas of both sides. I'm also concerned by the green spot on his collar. The fairly large marks on the reverse limit the grade. If the acetone removes the fingerprints, and if the luster is good (hard to tell in these images), then this could get a 65. As it is, I'm at 64.
Seems the moral of the story here, is finger prints , try to use gloves when handling valuable coins,as a message to all: not just the OP.... Agreed with the above sentiments^ 64, 65 on a good day sans the prints....
The obverse surfaces are pretty clean but I think the hits on the reverse, the fingerprints, and the lack of luster will prevent a gem grade. I say MS64.
A tad blurry with the pics..........the hit on the reverse above '5 cents' concerns me. '63. With clearer picks I might go to '64, but no higher. Still.......nice coin Facevalue. It runs rings around any of the uncirculated examples I have.
thanks everyone I appreciate the input! itso one of my top favorite finds from CRH. The top is probably my profile pic
