I'll go with 53 on both. Nice coins.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    1819: VF-35
1823: AU-50 (but I like it better at 45). Great doubling on the profile!

1819...VF 20 ...not sure if the streak is enough to go details environmental damage, a lower net grade, or is acceptable and is actually higher than my guess

    1823...XF 40

EF-40 on the first. AU-53 on the second.

Some would call the first on an EF-45, but it has too many little marks for me.

Some great guesses and lots were close or spot on.

I bought the 19 thinking it was Undergraded and the 23 I bought raw. It has some beautiful underlying luster and the the double profile is definitely cool. You guys have me thinking it might be worth a crack and send to pcgs in hopes of the 45 that I was hoping for to begin with. Any insight on the overton would be appreciated.
    Thanks for playing!

The 1823 is O-110 which in a later die state is known as the Ugly 3--a Redbook variety.

Thanks, can you tell me what causes the double profile?

A weakened set screw in the press allowed the die to chatter. Not uncommon...in fact, there are marriages in 1823, 1824, and 1825 where double (even triple or quadruple) profiles are more prevalent than single ones.

Here's a fun one that I really wish I had stepped up and not let get away. I won't if I ever get another chance.

That's a very cool looking coin. Cool clash to boot

    Thanks for the lesson
