Help in grading silver $ coin 1879!

    Nice piece, most likely an unc.
    Hard to tell. There are a lot of bagmarks on the obverse.

    looks like an au-58 to me. It may be unc, but I think it has minor circulation wear.

    i'm thinking au 58 also...lots of bagmarks and perhaps a tinge of rub on reverse rim. nice coin tho.

    I'm going with AU-55. It looks to just have a slight rub, which would put it in the AU-58 range, but it is pretty baggy.

    I look at luster and the prime focal areas of the cheek. Your coin has lots of cheek chatter. Obverse overall is a bit more baggy than I would like. I would grade this coin AU 58. Lighting tends to accentuate the bag marks detracting from an overall nice coin.
