Are these over polished dies or something else? Sorry but the pics aren't mine.
Does the coin appear PL, DPL, or too hard to tell with the photos provided?

I would not personally purchase a coin with photos like this unless it was severely underpriced because the color is off, the sharpness isn't there, and there are too many unknowns.

I agree on the unknowns. My purchases are mainly graded coins but I'm trying to get into raw coins with hopes of saving some coinage here and there while learning red flags.

No way to tell for sure, but I'd bet on it being cleaned, especially if its' from eBay.

Mines a 65PL in a OGH. The polished die lines are similar. When coins are harshly cleaned and get rubbed with a cloth the fine lines seem to go in every direction, usually circular pattern, and over everything, including the face and all devices. Die lines may cross some devices but they never cross the portraits. The obverse does throw some red flags through. I think I see some lines on the portrait.

I don't think any determination can be made from those photos. Yours is a nice coin.

Well, if the seller offers a return policy and you don't mind taking a chance on having some cash tied up in case it's not what you want, then go for it. No better way to tell than in hand. ;)

I'm wondering what all that streaking is from? Wiped in one direction with a cloth?

I do not trust those lines even a little bit. They do not follow the usual pattern of die polishing line propagation - normally vertical, usually heaviest at the edge of devices, and rarely in separate "patches" of heavy lines such as the reverse shows, with no other lines showing. However, the reverse lines are shown in the areas where the lighting hits the coin most directly, and it's possible the whole reverse looks like that in the correct light.

    Run, Forrest, Run.
