    Hi everyone,

I got this banknote in a large lot and I cannot find any information about it.

Does anyone know if this was a regular papermoney issue or similar to German notgeld in WW1? Also, I'd be happy if anyone could tell me what this banknote might be worth.

    Thanks in advance.

It is not paper money, it is a bond.

Thank you for the information. Is this bond anything of particular value? I am curious because I just cannot find anything similar online.

To be more specific,it is a bearer bond. Issued to raise money for national defense, repayable in three years. By that time the Germans occupied France and I imagine the bonds were never honoured and in pretty short order the francs it was denominated in were not of much value anyway.

I have never seen one, and I imagine it would be of some interest to to bond collectors or scripophilsts, notably in Europe.

There may be some information on a French language site.

If I wanted to find a market value I would list it for auction on ebay in French and avaliable worldwide and see how it went.

I've collected WWII bonds for many years. This is not a type I have seen before. That said, there is a fairly small collector base so demand is not that high. I agree that listing on Ebay.fr would be your best bet.
