Newest Franklin - 1948 D, MS65 FBL

    Because I apparently lack that thing (oh, what's it called; self control, was it?), I snagged another beautiful Franklin this week for my set. I absolutely couldn't resist the rusty, burnt, amber color on this one.

    I like it a lot.. I can honestly say with my morgans I've picked out some with lower grades just because I like the patina (not so much toning) like this one.
    I can't go for that 100% bright white for all the coins in a set.. that is kinda "boring"

    Funny story, I used to own his cousin, the 49D in NGC 65 FBL, with exactly the same coloring.

    Nice- beautiful natural toning patina. Really can't ask for more. Great coin.
