This is just a very modest AE drachm from Alexandria I am sharing here. It is very worn, not rare, has nothing exceptional, but I like the elegance of the personification of the Nile on the reverse. Antoninus Pius, AE drachm, Alexandria 145/6. AE 33 mm, 22.60 g. Obv.: ΑΥΤ Κ Τ ΑΙΛ ΑΔΡ ΑΝΤѠΝЄΙΝΟC CЄB ЄVC, laureate head of Antoninus Pius, right. Rev.: L ЄΝΑΤΟV, Nilus seated on rocks up which crocodile climbs, left, holding cornucopia, from which genius issues holding wreath, and reed; above IϚ. RPC IV.4, 931 Any rivers, or crocodiles? Or large Alexandria 2nd C. AE drachms?
Quite an eye appealing reverse, nice addition for you. I bought an Antoninus Pius for the same reason. Nothing special or scarce about the coin, but the reverse of Tiberius spoke to me.
That's a neat coin; I think I only have one or two Pius Alexandrian drachms, and not counting bulk bags, I have probably less than a half dozen of his coins in total. Here's my nicest Alexandrian drachm: ronze drachm, Dattari 1632, Geissen 1009, Choice VF, Alexandria mint, 26.146g, 35.2mm, 0o, 129 - 130 A.D.; obverse AVT KAI TPAINOC A∆PI[...], laureate and draped bust right; reverse Athena standing left, Nike in extended right, resting left on shield, date LI∆ across field; (Ex: Forum)
Alas, I don't have any crocodiles yet. I have been keeping my eye open for a nice Claudius dichalkon with a croc, but haven't found one yet that satisfies on both quality and price.
Nice to see these. For those that may not know these coins are from Nimes, France. This is where the legionaries retired too.

Nice coin. I like this coin of Hadrian because year 12 is spelled out (L ΔWΔƐΚ) and the top Greek numbers show the Nile level needed for a good crop, ΙϚ = 16.
