Nickel RPM

I recently found my first RPM, a 1964-D. It is worth $7 in EF condition. Mine is in VF condition and has a partially smashed mintmark, the error. Any idea of the value? Thanks for your help.

I looked at it, your imagining it.

and if im wrong and it is there, them the damage would make it worth no more than 5 cents.

An RPM is a repunched mintmark.

Okay people, here are the pics, remember the indicator that it is an RPM is the remnant of a D next to the rim on the right of mintmark.

looks like a D to me..whats it suppose to be?

 

I can't tell for sure, but from the pics it looks like a nick on the mintmark.

Well, it's gone now. As Nelson threw it into a pile of 800 nickels. And then he scrambled them and I can't find it. Oh, well. If no one else can see it I guess it wasn't a genuine RPM.
