Any ideas on this Morgan error??

I see a strike through but could there maybe also be an out of collar broadstrike or is the crappy light job playing games with my eyes?

Well, it's a bit off-center bit the rim is complete and appropriate, so we can rule out collar anomalies. I'd want to look a lot closer at the "stripe" under the chin to determine its' provenance, but first glance hints at a strikethrough of foil or something relatively thin.

You're seeing that as a strikethough rather than lamination strip as a knee jerk Dave?

Is it worth paying $57 for it now that I sold something? If I don't, my wife will blow it on junk.

Undecided, just went with the most likely culprit.

I don't really think so. These are interesting coins you're looking at, but not all anomalies like this are worth much premium if any, and finding the right audience - error collectors are a small subset of the whole - down the road on resale could be problematic. The majority of collectors won't even consider coins with features like this - they're "problems" to them.

Let her have some "junk" this time. She probably thinks she's "putting up" with your new obsession. It's only fair. :)

Keeping the spouse happy will protect your coin collecting happiness. Look at it as low-cost insurance.:D

It is an interesting Morgan. I'm starting to keep my eye's open for these kinds of things. :)

Same here. I prefer the odds over the norms. Besides feeBay and lack of customer service Heritage, are there any dealers or places that specialize in errors?

If you haven't figured it out yet, it's an interest we share. :)

I would lean towards cherrypicking these things. The only people who actually specialize in errors of this type tend to have the most prominent examples, and charge accordingly. But, if you really have to know how crazy it can get (don't say I didn't warn you :) ):
