In need of help once again I have a 1994 p quarter. Double died in the God we trust. And has a die crack. Don't have a really good camera to take really good pictures but if anybody can help let me know if I should get it looked at or just save it thank you very much
Hello! It appears, although from a distance to be "machine doubling" on the Obverse. Nice "Die crack" on Reverse. BTW: It's called " Doubled die" error Not "Double died". That's just silly. How can one die twice?
Thank you. I am not the greatest typer and still learning. So should I get it graded? Or just label it and store it..Thank you
Heck. Just label it and enjoy. Maybe you'll find a real "Doubled die error" someday. No grading on this one. Face value.
Hi, you have been a member on CoinTalk since May of 2019, you should know this by now That is a good question and very important thing to know! Here is a website I want to share with you. It will tell you all about the 3 different types of worthless doubling. Read all the information on the different types of Doubled Die varieties. Here is the link - Wexler's Coins and Die Varieties (doubleddie.com) By the way, Doubled die fall under the variety category which is a bit different from the mint error category. Right? @SensibleSal66 We want to start them off teaching them these important definitions correctly from the start
