as with any coin, the decision to have it graded and certified should hinge on the following question:

Does the slabbed coin sell for $X more than the raw coin with $X being some amount more than the cost of having it certified and graded?

If I'm understanding correctly, MS70 looks like it carries a large enough premium but MS69 not so much. I haven't developed the knowledge to spot the differences between those two grades so... Guess I'll send it in and see how it comes back or not.

I'd have to go through a local coin dealer and I imagine he'd send it in with others. I wouldn't be surprised if "mine" graded lowest. (lol)

I can't bare to watch ESNDIRECT those guys know nothing but slinging coins to unsuspecting buyers constantly making simple numismatic mistakes and useing the models as if that would make any difference? Lol your right about basement graders IGS buy the grade?!:hilarious: Same with The COIN VAULT i feel bad for people who get suckered into there same old boring routine's by the owner's 2 sons. Richard Chambers RIP was at least good for a few laughs Scout Houk was pushed off the show when they moved it to Indiana.:wacky:

But they ain't as good -- or bad -- as the king of the coin hucksters, Mike Mezak on HSN. But they sure try.
