I have 8 Mohar fractions dating from Shah Dynasty SE 1728-1950AD Anyone know if coins were struck in Kathmandu?
Maybe this book could be of help: https://www.amazon.com/COINAGE-NEPAL-Hardcover-H-WALSH/dp/8121228581
You are welcome. I have zero! The interesting ones cost way too much for my liking, so like with those of Annam, I doubt that I will ever buy any.
Do you have this one?: https://sima.bidinside.com/en/lot/1747/nepal-prithvi-bir-bikram-1881-1911-tola-/
That opening bid of 1500 EUR is mine, but if you want it, feel free to bid on it, I don't plan to increase my offer and somebody else will almost surely bid on it.
I am currently focused on winning: Mughal Gold Mohur of Shah Jahan (minted in Dar al-Khalifat Agra during the first year (1628) of his reign) Afsharid Gold Mohur of Nader Shah (minted in Tabriz in 1746) Sultanate of Malwa Gold Tanka of Ala'al-din Mahmud Shah I Khalji (minted in Shadiabad) Sultanate of Delhi Gold Tanka of Ala-ud-Din Muhammad Shah (minted in Hadrat Delhi) Assamese Gold Octagonal 1/8 Mohur of Rajeswar Singha
No/ you are free to get it. Oh/ that book on Nepalese coins was crap. Worst book ever/ no colour plates/ actually no plates at all. No mints mentioned....
Sorry, I usually only mention coin books I have read or at least browsed myself, but since my interest in Nepalese coinage isn't big enough to actually buy a book about it, I just mentioned what seemed the best of what I could find online...
No/ I am not blaming you! Its just a badly written book. So far you have helped me get some amazing coins! Esp. the Ottoman Osman II AV Sultani/ Misr Mint/ MS-62
There are 6 other Nepalese gold coins available at the auction: https://sima.bidinside.com/en/cat/3...arch_string=nepal&f_search_lot=&f_rec_page=30
