I don't usually buy ASEs but I do purchase a decent amount of 90% circulated silver coins (not a fan of the term "junk"). I'm partial to BGASC (www.bgasc.com). Free shipping on orders over 99.00. Very responsive to email. Quick turnaround once the check clears. I always start with this site- https://comparesilverprices.com. A good way to gauge prices.

Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

    All over the place, lol.

Initially, I made the BIG mistake of buying single, slabbed coins. Then I moved on to lots with multiple coins that weren't more than $2-$2.50 above melt value, either through ebay auctions, etc... or from reputable dealers. Mostly, I'll buy tubes of 20, other than Mint direct products (proofs, sets, burnished).

Here is a tool that can help you, but remember to factor in shipping, to get the lowest price. https://comparesilverprices.com/

That's an interesting site. In this market anything more than $2.50 over spot is probably too much for silver Eagles, especially in quantity of 20 or more.

I'm hoping GovMint runs a similar special early next year. I bought quite a few batches this year and didn't have any issues with the transaction. But other than that their prices were steep.

    Hello kevin,
I'm Larry and I do buy from Govmint on occasions. And---yes, they do seem to be a tad higher then the other ones I trade with. But they do have what others don't on occasions, and vice versa. They deliver quality , but like I said, only once in awhile do I trade with Govmint because of cost. I will look at Littleton for I've never heard of them.

I've purchased ASE's several times this year from Govmint. I was buying them 10 at a time earlier this year and was paying the lowest premium I could find anywhere. If you bought the roll it was more expensive. I purchased them many days in a row and I think the lowest premium was $.75 over spot. All the others were $1.50 or less over spot. I was very surprised. I mean, their premium is $2.00 directly from the Mint. I did this over about a three month period. They changed the price several times and when it reached the premium near to what everyone else charged, I would stop and wait to see if they would change again. It did; several times.
I can get everything else they sell for less elsewhere so ASE's are the only purchases I've made from them. Oh yeah, expect a call from them if you buy ASE's there. They want to sell you more. If the premium is the same as everywhere else, just tell them that you you can get them for less elsewhere. They won't call back. At least they haven't called me back.

If you do make the mistake of buying one of their overpriced product, be ready to receive an annoying sales call every other day.
