  1. Can anyone see if this coin on Reverse and obverse has a S on top of dome and in the front in the bottom right

Looks to these eyes like you found the elusive 1942-DS. With even a second D right here, lest my eyes are playing tricks on me...

You're looking too close and too hard. When you do that, you can see anything you can imagine.

It looks like a normal, circulated 1942-D, non silver nickel to me.

Well all, think of all of the money that members have saved new members that we have helped from sending in coins to the high cost graders to label it "Nope". We do it for free !!:cat:

Why? It's the correct name of the phenomenon.

Our brains are hard-wired to see patterns in limited data, at the accepted risk of occasional errors. The person who saw the lioness at the watering hole and didn't try to drink survived. The person who did not see the lioness at the watering hole might not have passed their genes on to subsequent generations. The person who saw a lioness that wasn't there didn't get eaten either, although they might have been thirsty.

I marked Paddymans reply of pareidolia best answer, because it is. Collecting nut is also right.

It amazes me when multiple people tell someone something, and that person refuses to believe it. In addition that person continues to contradict the consensus. Oy ve.
