IMG_5495.jpeg IMG_5496.jpeg IMG_5497.jpeg IMG_5498.jpeg Not familiar with Athenian Owls at all, so hard to determine if it’s a modern or ancient fake. 15.5 grams, under magnifier loons like brass underneath, silver plating maybe thicker than normal. Possible fouree? Seems to have genuine corrosion in edge cracks. I thought I read somewhere Arabia or Egypt in the ancient past struck fake Owls. Not sure though. Thanks in advance for any help. I paid 50 or 75 in an auction, took the gamble

An obvious cast fake to my eyes, sorry.

Reasons.. Casting pits, very soapy legend and devices, combined with an unnaturally sharp edge. Plus what looks like a casting seam.
