I'm not going to be in the running for this coin in the end so I don't mind pointing it out and having a little fun with it by playing a guessing game on its final auction price. So what do you think it will end up selling for? 1935 MS67 Red Cent
I can see it going for $167 with the CAC sticker. Had it not had the CAC sticker, more like $145. The wild card is if there are two people that "Have to have it", then that would throw everything out the window. The flip side of the coin, is there may be little interest in it and it goes significantly lower due little bidding. eBay is a very difficult place to predict what can happen. My prediction on this particular auction, is the final price will be close to $119.
One sold in July, PCGS holder, CAC sticker, MS67 (with more professional pictures) for $152.50 shipped. I see this one topping out at $165.
The one thing I like about the new PCGS slab, I scan the bar code with my phone and get a lot of information about the coin. I think it will end about $135.00, plus I don't need no stinking sticker. I can tell if I like the coin or not. This is the only sticker I need for my coins.
Stacks sold one with a CAC for $305 back in July. A lot of Lincolns take a big jump in price as a 67.
It bears mentioning that this issue is the single-highest Population of any MS67 Lincoln at CAC (you do know CAC has a Population Report, right? ) and the highest PCGS Pop in 67 of any Copper Wheatie. I'm thinking it hammers at $250 or better. Bigtime, well-reputed seller with a large customer base, well-calculated ending time, good enough images to tell it deserves the grade. Methinks it goes big. This is Ebay we're talking about
