Hello everyone, Today I decided to hit Mccaren Park in Brooklyn NYC. A storm was forecasted for today so I had to get out before it hit. I had a pretty good 4 hour Metal Detecting Hunt! 1942 - Winged Liberty Head Dime 1957 - Silver Roosevelt Dime 13 Wheat Cents Holed 1955 Wheat Cent No Date Buffalo Nickel 2 - Canada One Cent Everything
. My buddy told me this could be a Military Hat Pin Miscellaneous Metals Miscellaneous pictures Cartier glasses arm - maybe 18K A lot of nickels
@Tall Paul Hehe.. many times a lot of the Cents are bunched together. I pulled out about 7 in one spot! 2 wheats in another and 2 quarters together twice! And I didn't even show the dozen corroded copper plated zinc cents.. I tend to toss them away now. Nasty.
So, yeah, I had to go and look up Cartier 18K frames. Why would you want to have glasses made from a heavier metal instead of a lighter one? I guess the soreness at your ears and the bridge of your nose just helps remind you of your wealth.
The water would have just softened the soil. Speaking of that I tilled my Gardens the other weekend. I still have a good month before I can dig anything more than a couple of inches. I have spotted a few new hunting grounds that I would like to try. But only date back to the 30's. The ground doesn't freeze up there in NY?
Every year it freezes for about 2-3 weeks. But this year it has been warmer so I haven't had any problems digging. It's great!
The total in clad and Cents was $6.85 Not including the 13 Wheat cents and as I mentioned, about a dozen corroded copper plated zinc Cents I tossed in the garage at the park.
