    Hello Group,
With the price of gold today I just figured that if I sold my set of 50 Peso Centenarios gold for exactly melt (and paid the IRS retiree taxes) I'd only lose $14 from my purchase price in 2008.
    Yippee!

I saw palladium and platinum did a flip flop from a few years ago. Glad I did not sink a lot of money into those two.

If you sold them from the deck of your boat in Mexico you could bypass the retiree fee.

Not enough,I'll set off some silver if it hits $40-$50.Some extra cash would help at the moment but definitely holding on gold.

There is a guy looking to sell two 2015 gold Canadian maples on calguns.net for $2000ea.
He's had them listed for a couple months.
I tried to steer him over here to the classifieds but he said he doesn't want to register on another forum.
He would rather take them to a local shop and get less money.

I love gold and have a Garand but if it came down to it, I don't think I could get myself to trade the Garand (I built from new parts) for both of those 1 ozers. Interesting to play the barter value game in your mind.

When it comes down to it, very few people have a couple grand laying around to drop on needs let alone wants. Even though the items are worth that.
