I have mostly lower end Canadian and Newfoundland coins in the binder with a couple of sheets of ancients in it. I'm working on getting more ancients in there. Erin
Did you get the opportunity to go inside? it is weird in as much as so small compared to virtually everything else in Rome, I wonder what they did in it.
It's amazing how many eagles you can find if you look in your coin album properly, Mark Antony AR Denarius 16.5mm, 3.54gm,
Unfortunately not... it really is quite small compared to many of the other structures in the Forum, but I can see how Maxentius could have had it built to serve as a small shrine or temple to his deified son.
Great pick up fred.lombardo102 you can't go wrong with those Ptolemaic coins, hopefully I will get around to getting one myself.
Another exceptional coin @Meander !!! I'm still going after a 'slightly' lower grade example that stays within $200 since I already have the later 'new' variety....and I'd guess that the tiny bird that resembles a 'vulture' is indeed an eagle
And you can't forget these eagles on the base of Trajan's column, although there heads have been knocked off (see pic below coin). AR silver denarius RIC11 356, Rome mint circa 114 AD, 3gm. 19.4mm. Toned.
