What would you grade this 1887-S Morgan Dollar?

    I picked this up from a local B&M not too long ago. Trying to decide if it would be worth sending in for grading.

    I'd say 62-63. It's not making a good impression on me with all that's going on at the cheek, and the reed mark on the neck. IMO this is not really a coin that gains much from being slabbed unless it can hit 65, and this one certainly can't.

    I agree with Paul M.
    It seems to be an average MS63, not worth to be sent in.

    Yeah I'm also in the 62/63 boat not worth the money to grade.

    I agree with 62/63. As is, it's not worth submitting unless you had an open spot to fill in a bulk submission. Seeing the coins you post I'm sure you would have a better choice for that scenario.

    As Paul Harvey would say... And now, the rest of the story. I paid $60.00 for this 1887-S Morgan. With what most of you are agreeing on regarding grade, I think it may be worth sending in for grading. :)
