Victorian Three-pence - Countermark?

    I have this Victorian three-pence c.1808 with this strange mark on the obverse.
    Is it a 'countermark?
    Has anyone seen anything like this before?

    Maybe 1868, not 1808. I have handled many of them and not seen one marked at all. No idea what if anything it represents.

    If it's a counter-punch it'll be pushed out on the reverse.

    There is some 'distortion' but no alteration to the image.

    Looks like soldering, maybe old jewelry piece?

    @Mat I think you are right. As it was made into an old 'Love Token', soldering into an old jewellery piece would fit. Thanks.
