6K UK pounds good luck in selling it.

I would pay that for a FDC example:)

This example I wouldn't add to my collection if they offered it to me for free, while for a FDC example I would seriously consider breaking my record (which is currently around 4000 EUR).

How long do international wire transfers usually take? Your coin can still be bought on eBay.

While the coin itself is not rare, one gold coin I can't seem to find in good condition is the Samanid Gold Dinar of Nasr II, every single one I have come across has either very serious wear or is cracked, or has spots (black, red and in one particular case even blue!), or is bent or has some other issue that I find unacceptable!

Boy you are up late! Must be past midnight in Croatia;)

I have two Samanid Dinars in MS-64. Forgot rulers/ think one is Nuh?

I slept for a few hours, then I couldn't get back to sleep, and now I am of course researching gold coins on the internet! :D

This one is rated MS-64 as well, but it has those blue spots I mentioned!: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134611379495

I also have that same ruler/ Nishapur Mint. I paid 550US Heritage Weekly Auction in 2021. It was Ms-64.

I would beg to differ on grade GVF/ for me its "good" at best or "poor"o_O

Yes, the only way that grading would make sense if it was only in comparison to his other coins, which are generally in a really horrible state.

In any case, I have zero interest in buying any medieval Mongol coin, the medieval Mongols destroyed many of the greatest cities of the medieval world (Baghdad, Nishapur, Samarkand, Merv, etc.), destroyed the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, directly murdered a double-digit percentage of the world's population, brought the Black Death to Europe, etc., so I am no fan of theirs (to put it mildly).

In 1241 the Mongols under their brilliant general Subotai annihilated the German/ Polish Army at Leignitz and Hungarian at Mohi. Then came news that Ogadai had died, so the armies returned to elect a new Khan. Had they kept going both of us would not be here today.
They were really good at the art of war/ crappy at making coins! Tamerlane was just as bad. But his gold coins are RRRRR and nicely struck.

Ha Ha! The guy is a crook. That is the most common Islamic Dinar. A BIG hoard was discovered/ all coins were perfect MS. Album list this coin as "common"
I got one from Album auction for 240US last year.
