my friend gave me this as a gift because he found out i collect coins. Does anybody know what this is, and does it hold value?
Is it silver? From the style of it, I can pretty confidently say that it's of late 20th-century manufacture, not "1889". That's the date of North Dakota statehood, not when this piece was made. Could be it was made for the ND centennial in 1989?
I think you might be right! @AyoJustin It looks like there is a maker's mark on the shoulder of the bust at about 5 o'clock, but I can't make it out. Chris
