Its supposed to be an annual show, Just wondering if perhaps anybody has been in years past and would know what dealers usually attend. May or may not be worth a 2.5 hour drive for 25 table show?

Well Dave - you'd think I would know the answer since I was raised 15 minutes from there. But to be honest - it's been so many years since I've spent any time there that I don't know. But I do know a dealer there - I'll see if I can get an answer for you ;)

Whoops  Many thanks, but I found out today it's in Morgantown. I got it confused with the show a couple of weeks ago in Marietta, Oh. (right across the river from Parkersburg)

There may be a dealer there that people call "Gus" (Real name is difficult to pronounce). He has a very good selection of nice coins. Thanks again, Dave.

I plan to go, I'm probably about 15 miles away. I'll look for ole Gus when I get there :)

Sorry Dave - but I was unable to reach my friend. He may well have been at either the Baltimore show on on his way to the one you mention :(

Good luck at the show ;)

Bought an 1899-CC in fine. Nice grey color, no dings, no scratches, not cleaned. :D Three more to go for a morgan set 85-CC, 80-CC, 88-S. ;)

It was a nice show, I heard Gus was in Pittsburgh PA for some reason.
Dave, did you buy the CC from the first table to the right?

No but I did sell Shirley, Gus' wife, $260.00 face value of 40% silver halves, and $35.00 face 90% silver kennedy's for almost $650.00. Most them I have pulled from rolls over the last ten years so it was good deal for me. I bought the 89-cc from the big fella that was on the left with the whiteish hair. He's a lawyer I believe, but he wanted orginally $1100 for the coin which was a very nice fine (at a minimum) I offered $800 and we settled on $900 which, considering most of my money came from the silver halves that I paid face for, I think I came out smelling like a rose since I only have about $550.00 in the coin. :D .

Gus' wife did have a 1885-CC graded MS64 by ANACS but I thought it was only a 63 at best and had to pass. I couldn't afford the 89-CC's she had and Gus may have had more in PA. (They accidentally booked two shows for this weekend,,, can you imagine the inventory to do two shows at once!)

Another good find was for $3.00 and was a 1904 letter from the Campbell's Creek Coal Co. Barge Captain. (One of many side collections I have).

Not as many people there as I expected but I'm happy as a clam right now.

The big fella on the left had a nice selection of gold. It was a nice show in a nice place.
