Orange-red toned, mint set 85D!

 

I recently discovered a new type setup for axial. I’ve not been a fan in the past due to its lack of showing luster and even detail. My best results so far have come from this 1914-D. I was never able to capture all the colors I can see in hand. This type photography unfortunately won’t work for all coins, but certain ones like this one benefits greatly.

My previous photo shot the traditional way, straight down with 2-3 lights sources.

That is an incredible improvement. I hope you don’t have to go back and redo all your other photographs, too.

There are a few I really struggled with that I may be playing with.

Picked these up recently - lamination Lincolns.

 

Holy smokes, that's a KILLER 24D! Congrats!

 

Found this beauty in a roll of 1968-Ps. It has proof-like color and finish. I'm thinking its at least a MS-66, except for the line by Abe's nose (which doesn't usually show up except with certain lighting).

A little crescent toning, tired of these in red, refreshing break!

 

Hard to find one of these that doesn't look like it's been in a rock tumbler. Lucky find for my friend and a score for me! Some attractive toning on this one and not beat to hell. He said this came from a mint set:
