Very nice dwhiz! I work at the Post Office and I've never picked up anything like this. I've had them mailed to me but....lol
Nice!! I have a submission that is still being graded. I can't wait to see how it does. I have 14 coins in.
I hope you got the grades you were shooting for. I sent in 15 coins on Saturday now waiting out the results . My avatar is one,a 1858 FEC ,1862 IHC, a 1934- S peace dollar, 1929 H-10 & 10 shield nickels various dates and variety coins .
It's really hard to turn down their amazingly low priced specials. Especially when that price included return shipping! Can you imagine If PCGS did a special like these? Turnaround times would stretch into years, let alone the months they currently are at.
To be honest I don't have any issues with Anacs grading. Yeah I know...ngc pcgs are tops.....well not to this collector . Like any one else they are human and subject to error as well as the next.
Nice batch of coin. And Paddy - I treat ANACs just like PCGS and NGC. I look at the coin and see if what I think it grades works out with the price. I like ANAC's also since you can usually get them a little cheaper. You have to be as careful with them as PCGS and NGC. Now some 3rd party TPG's I skip - except for maybe ICG. Just my humble opinion.
That one surprised me, I expected 66. I picked up a roll of them at the Walmart in Gilford, NH the day they were first issued. That was January 2000, I put a couple aside and sent that one in for grading. Here's a different photo of it.
Guilford, no kidding! I'll be just down the road the end of next month at my timeshare on Lake Winny. ( I can never spell the lake name correctly ) Good food at the Irish Pub at the top of the hill. And always have to hit Turkey Farm at least twice.
Harts Turkey Farm not a bad place to eat. Soda shop for breakfast also T Bones another good place to eat. great time of the year to take a ride across the "KanK' Rt. 113 Lincoln to Conway. Just watch out for the "Leaf Peepers". Squam Lake where "On Golden Pond" was filmed.
