I will be testing that theory with my next order, iam sure there is a little rivalry there between PCGS and PMG, had a buddy of mine submit a Series 611 $5 to PCGS in a PMG holder was a 67 at PMG now a 68 at PCGS and now its a top of the pop
I have always thought that, of the two TPG's, (PMG & PCGS) that PMG was stricter and PCGS a little more forgiving. This is not math or science. It is a third party evaluation of authentication and a professional opinion of the condition, centering, and eye appeal of paper money.
Corruption no, a different set of eyes yes, though i would think grading standards Would be similar based on prior experience, a little more then half of the notes i Crossed were from PMG to PCGS and those always came back the same, already Learned a substantial amount based on the several submissions i have made just allot of trial and error
Of course it is ! since i submit to both i would like to have a good idea of what each Is looking for and i have already learned allot
first up Series 461 PCGS to PMG was in the fact that this one did not change a very Tough graded example
Next up in line Series 611 10 Cents a little disappointed here this denomination in this Series really grades out most of the time 68 to a 67
Next, Series 661 10 Cent had high hopes on this one as well this denomination and Series also grades well most of the time..LOL 68 to a 67
