Yes you have to go back gron. You don't want regret later. I blew it once, not going back for some coins. Waited too long, and they were gone. You never forget that.

We have to go back anyway. The bank didn't resolve our issue. They were wrapped by Dunbar Armor.

Boxes have been crap for me since I started again. Same for a friend of mine at my coin club who CRH in my city. I'm a little worried that my area is hunted out as far as boxes go. Have you noticed a decline in your area?

No, but there's long streaks, good and bad.
Even if someplace is hunted out, all it takes is a collection cashed in to get silver flowing again. Never know when that might happen.

I'm planning to keep hacking and slashing through these crappy boxes with hopes that the pendulum swings back the other way. I have only been doing this since February of this year so I am not used to the cyclical nature of it. This week was great for me but none of it was from BWR. Boxes of Halves are my staple, finding the score from a teller on loose halves or CWR is very uncommon for me except for this last week.

You seem to have the job set up to support hitting lots of random banks though. I used to plan trips to 10-20 banks when I had some week days off. Hit nearby towns. Check em off the list until the wad was blown. Then go home and search. Can't do that anymore though.

My travel schedule really varies. Next month I don't have any planned. I go to Philly this week but I'm flying so my ability to hunt won't be as good as far as logistics go. I'm traveling with a co-worker too so I won't have my own car to drive around. There are still areas in my town that I haven't hit up for loose halves and CWR. I can only get to them on Saturdays. It really is a numbers game, and hustle does pay off eventually.

Your right Christobal. I had a good box of nickels with 6 v and 14 buffalo nickels so I called my bank on the following Monday two days after I purchased my best nickel score. I called them up and they could have sold me 400 more dollars of nickels and instead of going to go and buy them I waited till the next Saturday 5 days later and by then they could only sell 100 dollars of nickels to me. That box they sold to me had 8 v nickels and 18 or so buffalo nickels. I wish I went earlier that week and got the other 300. This happened in May and now I am starting to see more buffalo and v nickels back in my boxes. I'm guessing the other boxes I could have got produced plenty of those coins and now that they have been recirculated people are returning their coins at a coin counter and are finding their way back to me 4 months later. I predicted that would happen and I'm sure I will find plenty more but I'm also sure I will never get all the coins I could of possibly got due to other collectors in the area. The point of this story is that you may never have a great opportunity like this again and chances are another collector will pick it up if you don't Gron.

    Bman,
Funny I'm traveling to Denver today. No worries, won't have time to search, especially with your ongoing reports, don't want to "invade" your area:(

Then I travel to the Wilmington DE area with some time to search

I'm not going to have time in Philly to hunt also. Wish I could get a stab at that pool of halves though.

It won't make a difference if you do search. Our area sucks...

Try hitting up the credit unions in HR. There should be a few there.

Nothing really anymore. I think they used to be pretty exclusive and not for profit. Now they are just like banks. Someone on here can explain the difference better than me. Thing about credit unions and small banks is that they don't have coin machines so they keep the CWR and halves that people bring in. I just get in my car and ask Siri to find banks near me. A ton will pop up.
